Litecoin (LTC) swap, no account, no ID. Litecoin, carried your way. No account. No ID.

Litecoin has two bags: an open one everybody can count, and a closed one called MWEB. Swaps run from the open bag. Send your LTC, tell the mule where it should land, and it does the carrying: Monero, USDT, Bitcoin or anything else.

Litecoin rides in two bags. One is see-through.

Picture the mule with two saddlebags. One is a net bag: normal Litecoin, on addresses starting L, M, 3 or ltc1. Anyone can count what's inside, the same way they can with Bitcoin.

The other is a closed leather bag called MWEB, added in May 2022. Inside it, amounts stay hidden.

Both hold real Litecoin. But nearly every exchange and swap desk in the world only takes coins from the net bag. So does the mule.

Between the bags is a public scale.

Moving coins into the leather bag, or back out, happens on the open road. Every load crosses a public weighbridge, and its weight is written down for anyone to read.

Inside the bag, nobody counts. Going in and coming out, everybody can.

That's why the mule asks for net-bag Litecoin. Move it out of MWEB in your own wallet first, and the trip starts clean.

Five name tags. Four of them get paid.

Litecoin addresses come in five shapes. L, M, 3 and ltc1 are all net-bag addresses, and the mule pays out to any of them.

M and 3 can even be the same address written two ways. Some wallets won't send to a 3 address, so use M or ltc1 when you can.

An ltcmweb1 address belongs to the leather bag. Give the mule a normal address, and move coins into MWEB yourself afterwards if you want them there.

Six hoofprints, then your LTC counts.

Litecoin adds a block every two and a half minutes, four times as often as Bitcoin.

We count your deposit after 6 blocks, about 15 minutes, and then the mule sets off. Litecoin to Monero on Fast lands in about 35 minutes, start to finish.

On Stealth, the mule waits and delivers on the day you pick, from tomorrow up to 30 days out.

One closed pocket is good. No windows at all is better.

The leather bag is one closed pocket on a see-through coat. Monero is a chest with no windows on any side: every payment keeps its sender, receiver and amount to itself, every time.

That's why Litecoin to Monero is one of the most asked swaps there is. People who want the closed pocket all the time carry their LTC straight into it.

Put your LTC on the desk, pick Monero, and the mule fills your chest.

Before you send, the Litecoin slips.

Where people lose LTC, and how the mule keeps you from it.

  • Paying straight from MWEB

Most exchanges and swap services can't receive coins from the leather bag. Move them to a normal ltc1 address in your wallet first.

  • A 3 address your wallet refuses

Some wallets won't send to an address starting with 3. Use the M or ltc1 form of your address instead.

  • An ltcmweb1 payout address

The mule pays out to the net bag. Paste an L, M, 3 or ltc1 address, then move coins into MWEB yourself if you want.

  • A fee set too low

A Litecoin payment with a tiny fee can sit waiting for a block. Use your wallet's normal fee when you send your deposit.

Litecoin swaps, answered.

Is Litecoin private?

Normal Litecoin payments are public, like Bitcoin. MWEB is a closed pocket that hides amounts, and moving coins in or out of it is public. For privacy on every payment, swap into Monero.

Can I send LTC from my MWEB balance?

Move it back to a normal ltc1 address in your wallet first. Most exchanges and swap services can't receive from MWEB.

Can I get paid out to an ltcmweb1 address?

No. Give the mule a normal L, M, 3 or ltc1 address, then move coins into MWEB yourself if you want.

How long does an LTC swap take?

We count your deposit after 6 blocks, about 15 minutes. Litecoin to Monero on Fast is about 35 minutes start to finish.

Why do people swap LTC to XMR?

Monero keeps senders, receivers and amounts private on every payment, all the time, instead of inside one pocket.

Should I use an M address or a 3 address?

Both work here. Some wallets refuse 3 addresses, so use M or ltc1 when you can.

Why did some exchanges drop Litecoin?

In June 2022 five South Korean exchanges removed LTC, saying MWEB's hidden amounts clashed with their record-keeping rules.

What does it cost?

On Fast the desk shows what lands before you send. On Stealth our fee is 2% to 6%, on its own line. Nothing is taken later.

Your LTC is ready to travel.

Load the mule. Where should it land?
